Luton Town did have a chance to get back into the game in the 76th minute, as they were awarded a penalty after a foul inside the box. However, Middlesbrough's goalkeeper made a superb save to deny Luton Town and preserve his team's clean sheet.
Middlesbrough continued to press for a third goal in the closing stages of the game, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Nevertheless, the visitors will be delighted with their performance, as they picked up a crucial win in their push for promotion to the Premier League.
