New School Expansions in Fremont and Manchester

In both Fremont, Nebraska and Manchester, New Hampshire, school officials have broken ground on new elementary and high school expansion projects. The new construction and renovations will provide modern and updated learning facilities for students in both areas.

Fremont Elementary School Expansion

Officials in Fremont, Nebraska broke ground on a new elementary school on June 21st, 2022. The new school will be called Deer Pointe Elementary and is set to open in the fall of 2023. The school will be located in the Deer Pointe subdivision in the western part of the city.

Deer Pointe Elementary will be built on 18 acres of land and will be approximately 70,000 square feet. It will have 24 classrooms and will be able to accommodate up to 650 students. The school will also have a gymnasium, a media center, and a cafeteria.

The Fremont Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Mark Shepard, stated that the new school will help to alleviate overcrowding in the district's other elementary schools. The district currently has six elementary schools, with some experiencing an enrollment increase of over 100 students in the past five years.

Trinity High School Expansion and Renovation

In Manchester, New Hampshire, the Catholic Diocese of Manchester broke ground on a $20 million expansion and renovation project at Trinity High School on September 29th, 2022. The project will provide an updated and modern learning environment for the school's students.

The project will include the renovation of the school's existing gymnasium and the construction of a new two-story building. The new building will include a new cafeteria, a kitchen, a weight room, a dance studio, and classrooms. The project will also include updates to the school's technology infrastructure and security systems.

Trinity High School's principal, Dr. Denis Mailloux, stated that the new facilities will help to provide a better educational experience for the school's students. The school has been experiencing enrollment growth in recent years, with over 700 students currently enrolled.
