Pokemon Go’s Mystic Hero Event Faces Backlash and Technical Issues
Pokemon Go has been one of the most popular mobile games since its launch in 2016. The game has been consistently introducing new events, challenges, and features to keep the players engaged. However, the latest event, Mystic Hero, has faced backlash and technical issues from players.
Broken Event The Mystic Hero event was introduced to honor the leader of the Mystic team, Blanche. The event started on April 9, 2023, and was supposed to run for a week. However, players immediately reported that the event was broken and some of the promised features were not working as intended. Players took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the inclusion of remote raid passes and the technical issues in the event. The hashtag #BoycottMysticHero started trending on Twitter, with players calling for Niantic, the developers of Pokemon Go, to address their concerns.
Niantic’s Response Niantic responded to the backlash by acknowledging the technical issues and promising to fix them as soon as possible. They also explained that the inclusion of remote raid passes was to allow more players to participate in raids, especially during the ongoing pandemic.
Niantic also apologized for the missing Blanche Lapras costume and promised to add it to the game as soon as possible. They thanked the players for their feedback and assured them that they were working to improve the game.
The Mystic Hero event has faced a lot of criticism and technical issues, but Niantic’s response has been swift and promising. While some players are still unhappy with the inclusion of remote raid passes, it’s clear that Niantic is trying to make the game more accessible to all players.
